Dr Jay has been practising as a psychologist for the past 20 years. She has worked in public and private mental health, providing therapy to children, adolescents/their families, and adults. She is trained in clinical group work, and has regularly presented to schools and community organisation on stress and trauma.

Previously Dr Jay worked in Warrnambool in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, and the Primary Mental Health Team. Prior to this, she worked at the Albert Road Clinic (Melbourne), in their adolescent day program, providing individual therapy to their client group and families, and facilitated the group program.

Dr Jay is excited to be working at Mind Health Care and offers therapeutic services to adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Jay treats a diverse range of needs including mood and anxiety disorders. Jay has extensive experience in working with individuals, couples and families, and she is trained in the assessment and treatment of sexually abusive behaviours, and autism spectrum disorders.

Dr Jay is trained in evidence-based interventions, interventions researched to be effective in treating mental health problems—Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT Trauma-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Schema Therapy.

Jay works at Mind Health Care on Mondays and Fridays.
