Christopher Shen is a Performance Psychologist and facilitator based in Melbourne. He provides psychological services, executive coaching, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) support to individuals seeking to improve their wellbeing, performance, resilience, and quality of life.

Professional Biography

Christopher is a Registered Psychologist, Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS), and Member of Sports Medicine Australia. He is a Performance Psychologist with more than 25 years of experience supporting elite and emerging athletes across national teams, AFL/AFLW, talent pathways, academies, and high-performance sporting environments.

He currently serves as Performance Psychologist with the Gippsland Sports Academy and is a Board Member of the Professional Boxing and Combat Sports Board of Victoria. He is also a Member of the Board’s Medical Advisory Sub-Committee.

A former Australian representative in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, Christopher has competed in mixed martial arts and has coached wrestling, tackling, and body-contact skills across a range of sports, including AFL and AFLW. He currently officiates as a Judge for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) throughout Australia and Asia.

Christopher has extensive experience helping athletes, executives, students, teams, and organisations develop resilience, mental toughness, leadership, communication skills, and the psychological habits associated with high performance. His work has included national sporting teams, AFL/AFLW programs, talent pathways, academies, schools, universities, and corporate organisations. He focuses on assisting individuals to perform consistently under pressure, overcome setbacks, and achieve excellence in sport, work, education, and life.

His engaging presentation style is enhanced by previous experience as a professional actor in feature films, television series, commercials, and digital media.

Christopher has worked with athletes from grassroots through to elite levels, executives and business leaders, school students, emergency service personnel, and individuals seeking support with personal, workplace, and life challenges.
