You don’t need to bring anything but please arrive 5-10 minutes early so that you aren’t in a rush and you have time to settle in our waiting room before your appointment. You might be a little nervous before your first appointment, that is totally normal (your psychologist will be a little nervous too and that is a good thing because mental health matters and your psychologist will be keen to do a great job). Some people feel pressure to be able to describe their situation clearly in the first session. If you could describe your situation clearly you probably wouldn’t require the appointment! At your first appointment your psychologist will work through a set of semi-structured questions that will help them to understand your situation and towards the end of the first session together you will work out some goals that you want to achieve over the course of your sessions.
